Return & Refund Policy

Thank you for shopping with Yotsuba Atelier. To ensure a fair marketplace, please read our return and refund policy carefully before making a purchase.

 

1. 7-Day Appreciation Period (Not a Trial Period)

  • Status: In accordance with the Taiwan Consumer Protection Act, online purchases are eligible for a 7-day appreciation period starting the day after receipt. 

  • Condition: This appreciation period is NOT a trial period.

  • Requirement: Returned items must be completely brand new, unused, and in their original packaging (including the product, inner/outer packaging, accessories, gifts, and all accompanying documents). 

  • Liability: Any signs of use, wear, washing, odor, or damage to the product or its packaging will result in the refusal of the return, or a deduction from the refund to cover restoration costs. 

2. Non-Returnable Items

Per Article 19 of the Consumer Protection Act, the following categories are exempt from the 7-day return policy once unsealed or processed:

  • Perishable Goods: Foods, beverages, or goods with short shelf lives.

  • Customized Items: Products made to the consumer's specific specifications.

  • Digital Content / Media: Unsealed CDs, DVDs, video games, or instantly downloaded software/e-books.

  • Personal Hygiene Items: Underwear, swimwear, earrings, cosmetics, and bedding (cannot be returned once unsealed due to hygiene reasons). 

3. Strict Grounds for Rejection

We reserve the right to reject any return requests under the following circumstances:

  • Overtime: Requests made after the 7-day appreciation period.

  • Damage: Products damaged, stained, or altered due to customer handling, testing, or improper storage. 

  • Missing Components: Failure to return the complete package, including original boxes, tags, manual certificates, or promotional free gifts. 

  • Abuse of Policy: Customers who exhibit a pattern of high return rates or malicious purchasing behavior will be blacklisted from future purchases. 

4. Return Shipping & Inspection Process

  • Inspection: All returned items undergo a strict video-recorded quality inspection upon arrival at our warehouse.

  • Shipping Fees: Original shipping fees are non-refundable. If a return causes the original order to fall below a free-shipping threshold, the original shipping fee will be deducted from the refund.

  • Processing: Refunds will be processed within 14 business days after the returned item passes inspection.
